But does an open case really sell more flowers?
Most of our customers find their product turns
over two to three times faster in an open case. Whether you are
talking about food or beverages or flowers, the trend is toward
open merchandising. If something
is behind glass
the perception is that it is out of reach. Having flowers displayed
in an open case begs the consumer to grab a bouquet. The smell
of fresh flowers helps too.

Without doors, how will my Floratech case keep the flowers cold?
Floratech’s patented boundary layer airflow envelops flower
heads in cold air at low velocity. Low velocity laminar airflow
across the flowers reduces stress and dehydration. Additionally,
the vase bottoms are locked in the coldest airflow below the deck
to ensure flower stems are kept especially cold.

Another cooler must mean more maintenance headaches, right?
Wrong…our patented condenser air intake is located more
than 4 feet above the floor, which minimizes dust build-up on the condenser
coils. The cold air return is tilted away from the flowers so it
won’t fill up with petals and debris. The refrigeration package
has thermostat, a high-and low-pressure switch, and an automatic
defrost cycle to maintain the perfect temperature at all times.

How difficult is a Floratech case to install and start-up?
Roll it in place, plug it in and start selling flowers! Floratech’s
self contained cases are provided with casters for easy movement,
a condensate evaporation system eliminating the need for a drain,
and a cord and plug. Installation can typically be completed by
in-store personnel in less than one hour.

My store is located in a hot climate; can I put the Floratech
case near the front door?
Floratech floral coolers are made with the most advanced refrigeration available today. See how our patented boundary layer airflow keeps flower heads cold at low velocity. Low velocity airflow reduces flower stress and dehydration thereby keeping petals fresher longer. Also, our specifically designed return air grills prevent dust and debris from clogging mechanical components. Please note however, that ideal store conditions for optimal floral cooler operation are air conditioned areas having a maximum temperature of 75 degrees Fahrenheit and maximum relative humidity 50%. Call a Floratech sales representative to discuss your specific application.

Some of my older cases don’t work so well pushed up against
a wall. Can I locate my Floratech floral cooler right up
against a wall?
Floratech’s innovative condenser intake and outlet locations
allow our cases to function anywhere in your store; against a wall,
as part of an island, or nested within dry sections without concern
for blocking a grill.

What if I decide to change the layout of my floral department?
Floratech’s refrigerated and non-refrigerated
displays are made to fit together as modules in
your total floral department. Because our cases are provided on
casters, they
can be easily moved and matched with other Floratech components
for endless configurations (self-contained units are standard).

What if my Floratech refrigerated display has a problem?
Floratech provides 24-hour, seven day factory service support
at 1-800-535-3295.

I have an idea for a new merchandising concept but I don’t
see it on your website. Can you help?
Call us! Customization is our specialty. We offer 3-D SolidWorks modeling
capability, hundreds of color options, and years of customized
solutions.

Do I really need refrigeration to sell flowers?
Even short exposure to ambient store conditions not only reduces the shelf life of flowers, but also reduces the flowers' life at your customer’s home. Also, "shopping" flowers from a cold display gives the perception of freshness.

How important are the materials of construction for a refrigerated floral case?
Floratech’s Always Open coolers are built of durable, environmentally friendly, waterproof material that can earn your supermarket LEED credits. These attractive panels won't dent and are available in hundred of colors. All exposed metal is powder-coated aluminum that will never rust. Floratech floral coolers look good not only when they are new, but for the life of the case.
